Damn spineless Dems aren't doing what we voters told them to—end the war in Iraq. I can at least take comfort that my representative, Tim Bishop (D–NY), and one of my senators, Hilary Clinton (D–NY), voted against the supplemental bill that gives Bush $95 billion more for the war and cravenly sets no timetable for getting the troops out of Iraq. Senate records note Sen. Chuck Schumer (D–NY) as "not voting." I don't know if that means he abstained or wasn't there to vote. I'd faxed all three about voting no yesterday. How did your representative—or nonrepresentative, as the case may be—vote? How did your senators—or obscenators—vote?
I welcome discussion of—and even disagreement with—my posts. But if you feel the need to call me or others rude or crude names, your comments will be deleted. I won't tolerate racism, sexism, ageism, looksism, weightism, gay-bashing, religion-bashing, culture-bashing, or any other prejudice here. Also, if your only reason for commenting is to link back to your site and not to discuss a post, your comment will be deleted.
