I think it's weird that such a concerned mom, a Christian to boot, thinks it's funny that someone taught a toddler to scream "asshole" and "bitch." Honestly.
None of us are completely consistent in our various identities. I'm human and sometimes find outrageous things funny. I even (gasp!) curse, sometimes quite colorfully.
I'm "in favor of civility" too, but I'm with you on this one, and would ask that IFOC, well, kind of "lighten up."
As both a concerned father and a Christian to boot (I'm a practicing Catholic -- and I'm gonna keep practicing until I get it right), I know I'm not perfect. God didn't make me perfect, and Jesus never asked me to be perfect. He did, however, ask me not to demand perfection of others.
Having said all that, YEAH, I LMAO looking at that video. Frankly, it's one of the only things I've ever seen with Will Ferrell that I actually thought he was funny.
I welcome discussion of—and even disagreement with—my posts. But if you feel the need to call me or others rude or crude names, your comments will be deleted. I won't tolerate racism, sexism, ageism, looksism, weightism, gay-bashing, religion-bashing, culture-bashing, or any other prejudice here. Also, if your only reason for commenting is to link back to your site and not to discuss a post, your comment will be deleted.

Hey, Katharine--
