Yesterday, I tripped on the uneven concrete sidewalk in front of my bank, fell, and broke my right arm and wrist. I am right-handed. It's a nasty, incredibly painful break (medical terminology: distal radius fracture, comminuted, with joint involvement and volar subluxation). I'll see an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. The emergency room orthopods said that I'll likely need surgery to implant a metal plate.

Too Much Summer Heat and Too Much Work
It's hotter than hell here on Long Island, in the nineties with what feels like 100% humidity. I'm finally finishing up a long-term freelance gig with daily deadlines. And I'm about to take a long-delayed camping vacation. That's why I've been silent here lately—I'm absolutely exhausted and my brain is fried!
Just thought you might want to know.
